Root Zone Remediation
Soil compaction, sandy, infertile soils, improper mulching, and trunk flare disorders often prevent newly installed landscape plants from flourishing, and cause premature death of established trees. We use a variety of the latest tools and tactics to help solve these landscape issues:
- air excavation to expose buried trunk flares and root collar deformities
- soil aeration to break up soils compacted by construction activity, vehicles – even foot traffic
- integration of compost deep into the soil profile to improve water retention and long term fertility
- surface mulching with our patented Forest Floor Mulch Mix® to protect the root zone, aid in water absorption and restore the nutrient cycling process
As much as 50% of the tree is below ground – don’t ignore it!
