Health Care
While pruning and cabling treatments work to improve
a tree's structural health, the goal of Plant Health
Care is to identify the presence of harmful insect or
disease pathogens which affect the plant's foliar crown,
the root system, and the circulatory tissues which transport
water and nutrients between the two. More than just
the band-aid approach of traditional spray programs,
a sound plant health care program seeks to create a
healthy environment for the plant that enables the plant's
own defense mechanisms to keep pathogen populations
at an acceptable level. When chemical treatments become
necessary, we use the safest products available for
effective control.
