Soil Management
Most of our New England soils are nutrient deficient.
Soil testing allows us to apply only those materials that
are needed for optimal plant health. A large part of Tree

Growing a healthy tree or shrub requires careful attention
to the characteristics of the soil in which they are grown.
Different species have different requirements, but all
trees prefer a soil environment similar to their native
setting in which they evolved. Re-creating this environment
in a cultivated landscape setting can be a challenge,
